When it comes to athletic performance, a great trainer can make all the difference in the world. The trainers at Total Athletic Performance are experienced and certified professionals that can help you take your fitness to the next level. We believe that athletes and those serious about getting fit learn in 3 different ways: doing, watching, and hearing. We incorporate all three of these aspects into our personalized coaching programs.

Derek Touchette, Owner and Trainer

Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), U.S. Weightlifting Club Coach – Level 1 (USAW), USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach (USAW-SP), SPEED

Derek earned his Bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Exercise Physiology with a Nutrition minor. He has four years of experience as a Performance Specialist at the IMG Academies. During his time at IMG, he prepared athletes for the NFL combine; worked with NFL, NBA, and MLB veterans and the MLS and WUSA teams; and trained the Under-17 Men’s National Soccer Team. He has had the opportunity to work under Loren Seagrave, one of the most renowned speed and sports performance coaches in the world, and Rana Rieder, one of the top USA track and field coaches. He also has experience advising all types of athletes in the area of nutrition, planning individual meals based on body and girth assessments. Derek is dedicated to the development of his athletes and other fitness enthusiasts, which is evident in the fact that many of the people he has trained are still playing at the professional level and return on a regular basis.

Andrew Miranti, Trainer

Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), CPR Training

Andrew believes that when it comes to fitness and athletic performance, you get out of it what you put in. Originally from New Orleans, Andrew attended Loyola University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Secondary Education. Andrew joined the Total Athletic Performance team after a 15-year career as a high school football and track coach. In addition to coaching, he also served as the strength and conditioning coordinator. Andrew is passionate about taking athletes and those who are serious about fitness to the next level. He is dedicated to helping those who want to improve their health and athletic performance reach their goals.
